Dr. Munson grew up in the Finger Lakes region of upstate New York and attended college at the University at Albany. He studied medicine at the University of Chicago’s Pritzker School of Medicine. He completed internal medicine residency at Vanderbilt University (Nashville, TN), followed by a fellowship in quality improvement (VA Tennessee Valley Healthcare, Nashville, TN). Dr. Munson completed his gastroenterology training at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, where his research focus was on quality of care in endoscopy. He enjoys hiking and traveling with his wife and daughter. He is also a road cyclist and looks forward to learning to mountain bike and kayak. |
